We headed back down the dirt road. Where the dirt road joined the main road a couple of cars had pulled off the road. The folks were peering into the woods. We pulled off to see the grizzly bear they were watching. In about five minutes there were perhaps two dozen cars scattered along the road. We stood and cautiously watched the bear. He did not seem the least interested in the onlookers. He would look up now and again, then go back to his foraging. He appeared to be a juvenile, about the size of a full grown black bear. But the large brow and the big shoulder "hump" made this bear unmistakable as a grizzly.
