The second chute did have snow in it, but not all the way to the "trail." A careful hike up the dirt took me to the top of the chute. The catwalk initially looked a bit too risky and beyond my personal exposure limits. After backtracking a bit to a better vantage point, I found the rocky ledge to be safer than I had initially thought. While the exposure was rather high at one point, it was rather short lived. The ledge was plenty wide enough and on good rock. In little time I found myself standing on the summit taking more photos and filling out the climber's register.
