We made it to Pete Lake by early afternoon. It was warm, but there was a light breeze off the lake. We met a fisherman who had caught some nice 10-inch trout in this beautiful lake. We spoke with him a bit. We admired the view, we soaked our feet in the water. We ate dinner. The guys had a chicken vegetable mix. I had spicy Thai chicken with broccoli bits, sharing a taste with anyone who dared. Quite impressive.
The evening was gorgeous. As the sun set, the breeze stopped and the lake slowly lost its ripple. The water surface was glassy-smooth except for the ripple made by a couple of ducks which occasionally tried a new feeding spot.
Morning brought the light I needed for another photo before heading down the hill.
