After walking roughly half of the 2-mile long ridge, we began to see more views to the west and northwest. They showed more overcast conditions, which we monitored throughout the day. While we had rain gear along, the ridge was rather open and unprotected. If the weather turned sour rapidly, we would need to head down the hill.
