Transcription: Edward Fitzpatrick To Thomas Hawood ---- for Record Nov 19th 1846 at 1 Oclock PM --- D Evans Recorder By – Forrest Dept This Indenture made this the nineteenth 19th day of November AD 1846 Between Edward Fitzpatrick of Dubuque Iowa of the one part and Thomas Hayward of Scott county Iowa of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for the consideration of fifty dollars the receipt of which is acknowledged has granted, bargained, and sold, and by these presents does grant, bargain, and sell unto said party of the second part the following tract of land: Situated in Scott County to wit the North East quarter of the North East quarter of section thirty four (34), township seventy eight (78) North Range Two (2) East of fifth (5) M. Together with all the estate rights, title and interest of the said party of the first part, To have and to hold unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, to his --- ---- sale and only proper use ----ful and behalf forever given under the hand and seal of said party of the first part at Davenport on the day and Year first above written.
