  Notes	"There has been a story that has floated around the family for years and I dont know if you have heard it or not. It involves Daisy Hayward at a young age (not real sure what age). It seems that Daisy was in Nebraska at the time and her parents were working out in the fields, leaving her to watch her younger siblings. I guess the Natives werent too friendly back then and a couple of them came riding up to the house. She grabbed dads rifle and told them to not come any closer. When they kept comming she shot one and killed him. Now, I cant tell you if its real or not, but it makes for one heck of a tale at any rate. " ---Charlend Rogers, email dated 23 Jan 2005
