Maui '05,  Vacation,  Apr 9, 2005 - Apr 16, 2005     page 19 / 37

After our walk, we continued down the road a couple of miles, turning around where the road came down to the beach level. Continuing around the south side of the island to complete the loop to Kihei was not recommended. In fact, most car rentals contracts forbid it because the road on the south side of the island is so treacherous.

We noted several fruit stands along the road during our drive, and wanted to stop at one during our return. Libby wanted to get some fresh papaya. This particular fruit stand also made a couple of kinds of tropical fruit smoothies, which sounded appetizing to Kevin on this warm afternoon.
