Cat Basin is made up of three meadows. It was considerably more picturesque than I had imagined. It would probably be a great area to spot wildlife, though I saw none during my midday visit.

I wandered in the area for a few hours, searching for Crisler's old shelter remains. I was unsuccessful at locating that one as well.
