Bailey Range Traverse, Olympic National Park, Jul 26, 2007 - Aug 1, 2007 page 8 / 97
We arrived at Heart Lake by late afternoon. We selected a campsite suitable for the five of us and prepared for the evening. While making our dinner, a small group of goats wandered by to inspect our culinary abilities. The band consisted of roughly 15 goats -- several nannies as well as four or five kids. Among the band was one adult goat missing one of its horns!
We watched the curious onlookers for a bit before they became bored and wandered down the hill, their kids following close behind.
