I hiked up a rocky knob just east of the lake. From there I could see across the lake and over a small rise to the west, then all the way to Mt. Olympus. I took several photos. I could also see well to the north, to Stephen Peak, and Mt. Carrie. Upper Ferry Basin was visible, too. I tried to determine just where we had hiked through the fog the day before.
