Anderson Pass,  Olympic National Park,  Aug 12, 2008 - Aug 15, 2008     page 8 / 43

After breakfast we continued up the trail. Diamond Meadows camp was passed after 2.5 miles. There we used a logjam to cross the river and continue along the trail. The trail and the river become steeper during the last half mile before reaching Honeymoon meadows. This is another popular camping area. My trip planning had included a visit to the Olympic National Park trail conditions webpaage. It indicated that a ford was necessary at Honeymoon Meadows. Indeed, when we arrived we found the small foot bridge to be missing. The creek here was rather shallow, no more than eight or nine inches at its deepest point, so the crossing was not difficult. Sandals were specifically carried for this purpose
