Anderson Lake, Pacific Crest Trail, October 13, 2007 page 1 / 14
This time of year the days are noticeably shorter, cooler, and often wetter. There are fewer days with pleasant hiking weather available. I took advantage of one of those great autumn hiking days a few weeks ago. I parked at Chinook Pass, just east of Mt. Rainier. I would hike the Naches Peak Loop, and make a short side trip to Dewey Lake.
I opted to hike the route in a counter-clockwise direction this time. I hiked along the trail to Tipsoo Lake first.
