The trail continues, mostly southward, with a very gentle grade, making travel very straightforward, even for the novice hiker. For the first couple of miles after crossing Silver Creek, the trail is lined with Rhododendrons which were in full bloom during our visit. I can't remember ever seeing so many "Rhodies" in bloom in the mountains before!
