Yellowstone, Vacation, Jul 14, 2003 - Jul 19, 2003 page 1 / 36
For our family vacation this year, we decided to go to Yellowstone National Park. I had been there twice, once with Tom several years ago while driving a car home from Omaha. Each time I'd previously visited, though, I was only able to spend about half a day. Anyone who has visited Yellowstone knows that much more time is needed to enjoy this national treasure.
We took two days driving to get there. We spent the first night in Wallace, Idaho, an old mining town on interstate 90. This small community (fewer than 1000 live there) has maintained the old turn-of-the-century ambience.
