Van Trump Park, Mt Rainier National Park, July 25, 2005 page 1 / 21
Libby and I recently visited Comet Falls and Van Trump Park on the south side of Mt. Rainier. Reports had indicated that the wildflowers were particularly colorful this year, and we wanted to be sure not to miss seeing them.
We set out hiking and the trail immediately began to ascend the hill. A log bridge was reached in about one-quarter mile. Crossing the bridge gave great views of Van Trump creek. The trail followed this creek for the following 2.5 miles.
