For the last several years, I've had a car parked in Phoenix for use while in town. It was necessary while I was on reserve duty there, and helpful other times as well. Unfortunately, I've used it very little over the past year. It was time to get it home and out of the desert heat! The boys were on spring break over the third week of April. Chris flew to Phoenix to meet me after one of my trips so we could bring the car home....and see some sights along the way.
We started out on April 15. We got some lunch and headed north, stopping in Flagstaff for the night. The next day we planned on driving through Monument Valley Arizona. While this was a bit out of the way, I had always wanted to see the area, so we headed off that direction.
We stopped along the side of the road to check out some fossilized dinosaur tracks. A Navajo man showed us several types of tracks and explained what kinds of dinosaurs made each of them. Very interesting!
