It was a Wednesday evening, and being so, we usually check in with a weekly SAR network on our 2-meter amateur radio. Shortly before 7:00pm we wandered along back along the trail, to a location which would give us a good view of Puget Sound. This location would improve our reception. As the role call was read, we responded in turn, announcing our respective call-signs and location.
