I did not stay very long. Tom was returning home from his week-long bicycle trip late in the afternoon, and I wanted to be able to pick him up. I began the 5000-foot descent to the trailhead. Pound, pound, pound went the feet!

I followed the trail all the way back to the lake and had some great views along the way.
