Mt Stone '05 / Lake of the Angels, Olympic National Park, Aug 12, 2005 - Aug 13, 2005 page 11 / 39
I sat near the rocks for quite some time. I made some lemonade and had an early dinner. With the goat hanging around the lake so much, I would have to be sure he didn't try to eat my food, or my sweaty clothes! Since it was still early, I decided to head up the hill and camp in the pass just west of the lake. It rests about 300 vertical feet above the lake and has a great place to lay a sleeping bag or pitch a small tent.
The location proved to be a good one. The views east toward the lake were outstanding and the scenery to the west during the sunset was fabulous! Caption:The western view includes Mt. Duckabush and Mt. Steel
