We continued down the hill and back into the cool trees. The shade brought relief from the warm summer sun. We thought it was a bit warm during this hike but didn't think anything more until hearing the evening news. Stampede Pass (30 miles to the northeast) set a new record temperature of 90F!
We briefly stopped at Spray Falls since we had passed this landmark on the way up the hill.
