Today would be relatively easy. We would carry light packs with trail food and explore the ridge south of the lake. Dad had been into the area many years ago, but never to Spectacle Lake. Roger, Ken, Brian and I had never been to this part of the Cascades and were curious what other spectacular views could be seen.
