The trip was definitely a success. As one can see from the photos presented, we could not have asked for better weather. We covered roughly ten miles, round trip, and gained about 1500 feet during the hike to the lake. For others contemplating this hike, be prepared for a tough climb on the trail. The road grade is gentle, but the trail takes a bit of stamina. And be sure to look around and enjoy the scenery!
