We reached the lake around 5:00PM. Two other hikers were found resting at the lake's edge. A second small group was camped at the opposite end of the small lake. Those were the only other outdoorsmen we encountered there that evening.

The lake was still and the breeze slight. One could occasionally glimpse the ridge to the south, catching views of Petunia Peak or Mt. Fricaba. Then the fog would return to obscure the view.
