The weather had deteriorated by morning. We had planned to run together. Despite the light rain we set out for a four-mile jog along some nearby trails and roads. We were pretty wet by the time we returned to our suite. Luckily, we had a gas fireplace to dry our clothes!

The afternoon weather improved, so we drove down the west side of the island to Lime Kiln State Park, hoping to catch a glimpse of migrating whales in Rosario Strait. We saw no whales, but had a nice walk along the water.
