North Fork Quinalt River, Olympic National Park, Sep 24, 2010 - Sep 25, 2010 page 2 / 30
The lower portion of the Quinalt river is rather flat, making it easier to accomplish many miles of hiking. My goal for the first day was Sixteen Mile camp, just over twelve miles of hiking. Apparently, the camp name referred to the junction between the north and east forks of the Quinalt river, where the trail began some seventy or eighty years ago.
