Pyramid Peak, Mt Rainier National Park, September 29, 2008 page 15 / 23
After a refreshing drink of fruit punch and an apple, I continued along the trail. No trail is marked on my map beyond Mirror Lakes, but a well defined boot path continues to the east, through the high alpine meadows. My intent was to hike up the shoulder north of Pyramid Peak to climb peak 6631. This site would provide some great views and be easily reached. The trail I followed was so well defined, though, I decided to follow it, instead.
I crossed a broad meadow west of Pyramid Peak. A cool creek flowed through it.
