After several invitations to come to the Paradise Area on Mt. Rainier, my mother-in-law, affectionately known as Nonnie, agreed to visit with us last week. Even though we have had a rather cool summer, the weather on the mountain was perfect. The temperature was moderate, probably around 75 or 80 on the trail. We took a picnic lunch and ate just down the hill from the Paradise Visitor's Center.
