The descent was awkward. The snow was mushy. Those who carried up plastic sleds had difficulty working up much speed down the hill. The snow was cupped enough that plunge-stepping our way down was cumbersome. After 4500 feet of climb and 1500 feet of descent, we were tired of the snow.
