The Muir Snowfield provides a non-technical route to Camp Muir. Crampons are unnecessary this time of year, as are ice axes and trekking poles. That being said, the trekking poles are quite useful for balance on the slick snow, especially during the descent. Libby found her micro-spikes provided an additional level of traction, as well.
