As we sat there, staring at the mountain, I thought the same thing I had thought several years earlier when visiting this area: I wished I had a bit more time to explore, to go higher, and get a closer look. Perhaps next time. It was now about 5:30 PM and we had several miles to go if we wanted to be off the trail before nightfall. Fortunately, it was all downhill from here!
