The next morning was cool, but there was no rain. I hit the trail shortly after 8 am and arrived at 16-mile about 20 minutes later. The crossing which vexed me three years ago, was to be a non-event. There was no deep channel, just an easy ford through 12-inches of water. I donned my sandals and trudged on through. Piece of cake!
