I had a leisurely afternoon setting up my sleeping gear, and making an early dinner. These days I carry a mix of dinner types. On this trip I packed three freeze-dried meals. Tonight I dined on Pasta Primavera, on of my favorites. During the evenings I didn't have freeze-dried meals, I had instant mashed potatoes, supplemented by foil packed (precooked) meat, such as tuna or chicken. This helps keep the costs down, as well as to provide a bit tastier experience than the freeze-dried foods.
