Though it wasn't raining, the brush was soaking wet. I donned my raingear and quickly soaked the pants exterior surface. I took a break at Low Divide, among other places. The river ford at 16-mile was no different than it had been a few days prior. Oddly, the river had not risen from the rain yet.

I arrived at Trapper Shelter around 2:00 pm. I pulled the tarp out of the plastic bag it was in. It was drenched and dripping! I hung it up outside the shelter to dry it out a bit.
