LaCrosse Loop '15, Olympic National Park, Sep 10, 2015 - Sep 16, 2015 page 47 / 47
The following morning there was no rain, though the brush was still wet. I began hiking out with my rain pants on, but my raincoat still packed away. By late in the morning, I finally removed the rainpants, thinking most of the remaining trail was free of significant brush. Of course, then the clouds threatened me with rain. It never really did rain significantly on me. I guess I was lucky.
I made it out of the woods by 2:30pm, a day earlier than planned, but ready to be home and sleep in my own bed. The Duckabush River was a treat to finally visit. And LaCrosse basin was as beautiful as ever! I covered 72 miles and gained 22,000 feet. Wonderful trip!
