Tom and I simply roamed most of the afternoon. We sat near Hart Lake for a bit, looking at the trees, the hills, etc. We wandered back to Lake LaCrosse. We ate dinner a bit early, then decided to head up the ridge just north of the lake. It was a wonderful evening...a bit cooler than the night before. The sun was behind the ridge, but it was still quite light out. The walk took us up the hill through meadows filled with blooming heather--mostly pink, but a bit of white heather here and there. The ridge sat roughly 600' higher than Lake LaCrosse and had several trees on top. We were still able to get great views to the north of Mt Anderson and Anderson Pass.
