By this time it was nearly noon and we were hungry again. We decided to eat some lunch at this peaceful location. Our lunch was interrupted by the scouts who caught up with us at the summit. They apologized for the intrusion. We chatted with the group from Seattle and they tried to recruit us. Of course we told them we were involved with Troop 217.

We wandered back down the hill going off-trail for a bit to locate a point which would provide a view similar to the cover of Bob Wood's Olympic Mountains Trail Guide. We came up with the following:
