Our flight home was scheduled for Sunday afternoon. Libby and I decided to use Sunday morning to hike to the top of Diamond Head. Kevin preferred to sleep late, so he stayed at the hotel.

The signs and warnings at the trailhead make sound as though this hike is very strenuous. I'm sure for many who are not used to hiking that it could be especially tough on a warm afternoon. But we found the morning to be comfortable, and we had good walking shoes and some water. We found the trek to be quite straightforward. It took us perhaps 45 minutes to reach the summit.
