One morning we headed west, along the north shore road, to Turtle Bay. The large resort is situated on a protected bay, ideal for swimming and snorkeling, and has public parking available. We grabbed our snorkel gear and made a long morning of it. The snorkeling was good, but not nearly as fun as it was along the shores of Maui. Even so, it would have been fun to have Chris along with us to enjoy it. He was home attending classes at the community college, and felt he could not leave town for a week of fun in the surf.
