Oahu '11,  Vacation,  Apr 24, 2011 - May 1, 2011     page 1 / 75

This spring Libby and I decided it was time revisit the Hawaiian Islands. I had never spent time on Oahu, and she was a child when she visited Waikiki. We decided to spend three nights on the North Shore of Oahu, and then spend the remainder of our week in Waikiki.

We flew into Honolulu on Easter Sunday, picked up our rental car and headed north. The weather was typical: warm and somewhat humid. We found the Keiki Beach Bungalows easily. No one was to be found at the manager's apartment, so we proceeded to the Gardenia unit, to which we were assigned. The front door to our unit faced the beach. As we rounded the corner and saw the wonderful view of the beach, we knew this would be a relaxing location!

Upon entering our unlocked bungalow, we found the room keys. The informality was refreshing. The manager stopped by a few hours later to introduce herself and say "Aloha."

This is gonna be great!
