We originally headed up towards the Dungeness River trailhead, in the Olympic mountains.  We experienced a number of setbacks.  Due to the wet winter we had, many roads had washed out.  We finally chose this alternative trailhead which lead us across the Dungeness River and over to the Gray Wolf River.
