As the rain continued, we monitored the water flowing off of the tarp. We made minor adjustments to ensure it wouldn't pool on top, and that it flowed away from my sleeping area underneath.

Kevin determined that the trees to which the tarp was tied provided plenty of protection from the weather. Occasionally, he stood fully upright there, simply to stretch his legs.
