This peak also had a healthy population of flies and gnats, though not quite as many as on Gobblers Knob. Some relief was achieved by standing near the western edge of the summit. From there I was able to look nearly straight down a 200-foot c liff. It was also there that a cool breeze could be felt, rising from the valley below.
I meandered back down the hill, returning to Lake Christine. I ate a snack, and watched the camp robbers. Several fish rose from the lake looking for bugs to eat.
