After a brief rest, and a drink of water, I hit the trail again. Twenty minutes later I was on the summit. The scattered clouds were burning off quickly, but provided some interesting views. I had the place to myself for several minutes. The hiker and his dog reached the summit perhaps fifteen minutes later. We spoke about the goats which frequently visited the summit, but saw only a few, and they were quite far away. Despite the dog's good behavior, the goats kept a safe distance away.
