Mt Ellinor '06, Olympic National Park, July 7, 2006 page 1 / 28
I made my annual hike up Mt. Ellinor recently. I decided to hike a few trips just a bit earlier in the season than I had in the past, and I was not disappointed. While I used the summer route up this popular peak, there was still plenty of snow on Ellinor and the surrounding peaks to make them quite spectacular.
I began at the higher trailhead, about 3500 feet. The forecast was for clearing after morning clouds. The cloud cover kept the hike cool and comfortable.
