Our second day hike out of Hood River was along the Eagle Creek trail. We parked at the first parking lot, not realizing the trailhead was a half mile down the road. We walked along the road, which runs alongside the creek. We heard quite a bit of splashing. We wandered closer to the creek to find salmon working their way upstream. It was fascinating to see these huge fish swimming up the shallow creek!
