Crater Lake, Crater Lake National Park, Aug 16, 2004 - Aug 19, 2004 page 10 / 36
We continued our drive around the east side of the lake to the Mt. Scott trailhead at 7683 feet. Mt. Scott is the highest point in the park at 8929'. The views both on the summit, next to the working fire lookout, as well as along the trail are fabulous. Views south to Klamath Lake are excellent; north toward Mts. Thielson and Bailey, as well as toward Crater Lake. We all enjoyed the 5-mile round trip hike.
