Corral Pass, Snoqualmie National Forest, Aug 11, 2011 - Aug 13, 2011 page 21 / 23
Proceeding south from Noble Knob about half a mile, we turned northwest at one of the nearby trail juncitons. The trail lost 300-400 feet which we later regained while hiking along the wooded ridge toward road 72. Libby had entered the area from this road several years earlier while participating on a SAR service project.
Having remembered from her previous visit that a shelter existed close by, Libby wanted to locate it. We continued well down another trail in search of the structure. After adding a couple extra miles of hiking, we found the well maintained building in the middle of the woods.
