As evening arrived, so did the deer. I spotted two or three near our campsites. These animals were the only ones seen nearby during this trip. I never saw any elk. I spotted several goat from a distance, and only the one black bear.

The evening was a pleasant one, but rather chilly and damp, compared to previous nights. I slept comfortably, though, in my down sleeping bag.

Despite the damp evening, the morning was dry. I ate, packed my gear and was on the trail by 8:00 am.
