I had thought quite a bit about the dry trek into Ferry Basin, and the heavy pack I had lugged up the hill. I wasn't sure whether I should continue south, or stick around Mt. Carrie for a few days. I opted for the latter. In fact, I decided to change the itinerary considerably, making it a much more relaxed trip. Today, I would hike up Mt. Carrie, for I had never done so before.
