With the evening came the mosquitoes. They were plentiful at this lake. I thought about how much Tom would have disliked this aspect of this trip had he been with us. Most of the bugs swarmed around us, with only a few actually biting.
While we could not see many major mountains from our campsite, they could be seen from a short distance away. As the sun dropped lower in the sky, the shadows lengthened, providing magnificent views of the hills.
